Seems like a Type-R will be my next car ... considering you can pick one up for less than £3500.
The price usually reflects the car on the CTR in my experience seeing what quite a few of my mates have bought also.

Just starts to open up the valves at about 5k me thinks, either way it's ages before redline just not enough poke before that.
I mean it's not got enough torque early on so you gotta kinda hammer the v-tech's to get full potential and their designed to put up with being hammered and can actually take it which is brilliant.

Exactly, vtec kicks in at 5.6k and revs all the way to 8.2k on the b16a engine! Sounds insane in vtec  and coming from a vr6 i can say it still sounds good in comparison i would say!

dont know what all this stuff about Jap cars being more reliable is. Has no one noticed the number of recalls toyota have had recently?

I think the problem seems to be you lot driving old* VW's
