There is no magic fix for this! I had problems with clearance after I fitted the side skirts.
All anybody could do for me was undo all the bolts and lift it. Didnt get much out of that exercise!
Yes there is.
Not many people know this trick, but it's massively clever and massively effective.
1. Get a wheel nut.
2. Wrap it in some tissue or a cloth so it doesn't damage the paintwork.
3. Open the door, and place the nut on the bottom hinge. Do this so the thread is facing the back of the car, so the bit the socket grabs on to is in between the V shape of the hinge (if you know what I mean).
4. Very gently, force the door towards the closing position. Obviously it won't close because there's a great big nut in the hinge, but the force of it causes the metal to bend in such way that the door doesn't drop any more. Do this VERY carefully, you may have to do it various times using various forces to get it aligned properly, don't go all out and try to slam the door shut in the first try. Do it gently but with some force until you are happy on how it looks. Took me about 5 minutes of trial and error to get it right. If you overdo it then do the same but on the top hinge.
I'll write up a picture guide when I next do some car work
