some noob questions mk2

hi guys,

ive recently bought an 8v gti mk2  and even though i havent driven it yet (banned till the end of october)  im pretty sure ill want some more go (last car i drove spiritedly and messed around with was mke 2.1pinto capri )

but all mods will be declared to the insurance and it cant get too silly.

so i was thinking about the 2.0 mk3 bottom end with the standard mk2 head with a piper ultimate road cam some home brew porting and a more free flowing exhaust manifold i would plan on getting the engine built up completely and ready to just swap over in an afternoon  im alot more used to carbs then injection and ecus are a box of magic to me  will it need a different "chip" to run properly with the new cam and whatnot ?

wouldnt need a re map for either the 2ltr or the cam, allthough it would make it run better to set the ecu up for the new engine set up.

IIRC you'll need a spacer for the dizzy from TSR for the ign timing.

or a 2e dizzy which goes straight on.

only if mk2 is digifant management, if k-jet need to do what ben said
