Interior leather repair
« on: 28 September 2010, 18:54 »
Hi. Has anyone tried any of the kits to repair scuffed leather. They sound simple enough to apply. But just wondering if anyone has had a go repairing seats. Also what products are best for looking after the leather seats.

Thanks
Steve

Hi, I've restored steering wheels, gearknobs and of course seats. What is the situation with your seats? light wear/scuffs? heavy wear/cracking/discolouration?

For leather cleaning and treatment I use these products: http://www.liquidleather.com/car-shop.html#gt11

I'm not any expert by any means but let me know more details and I'll try to help.

There's just some light wear/scuffs to the edge of the drivers side bolster. The leather is intact. I have seen the kits actually re die the leather. Was just wondering how the kits have worked for people. There are no splits.

Just to add, I looked at the leather care website for their scuff repair set. Have you used this to make your seat repairs?
