Thanks to Darren I am now the proud owner of an RNS510 which I like to use to play CDs my question is why does the name of the track that is playing not come up on the head unit? mine just says track number is this correct?

If it is just a normal CD then that is all that is displayed,
If you play a CD with MP3s on it then the track,artist, album data will be displayed.  :smiley:

I think it depends on the information on the cd itself, some of mine do it although most of my tunes are on a memory stick now, have you tried many cd's?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂

Yes quite a few, guess I'll need to get a mem stick and use that instead.

You need to use CD's that have been burned at the factory or by yourself, with CD Text.
Sony CD's have CD Text on them and will display the information on the head unit.

TBH no not yet, going for a short break soon and will be using car a lot whilst waiting for friends, hope to have the time to slam one in and watch it then, is the pic quality good?

I think RNS510 is rubbish for money it cost, it wont be an option on the mk7 I can tell you VW need to sort it out :rolleyes: Sorry Gizzy didnt mean burst your thread!!

Surprisingly good quality.... remeber to watch something relaxing, otherwise you may start driving like a complete nutter afterwards. Saying that I was watching 'The Soprano's' the other day which is hardly carming.  :laugh:
