right if plate lights no worky this means the power output from the switch is at fault, or the wire or fuse. you did check the fuse yes?  also look in the rubber grommets between the body and the tailgate, and inside the boot at the lights themselves. if the wires are shorting there it could be blowing your fuse every time you switch the lights on.

where is your hazard switch, dash or column?

right, number plate lights and dash lights are fed from fuse #20, check it again in case its blown since you replaced it. if it has, look for shorts in the wiring in the tailgate, as i say in particular at the rubber boots between the tailgate and body.  the fuse gets power from pin 58 on the headlight switch, which is a grey/green wire.  pin 58 on the switch runs to pin B27 on the back of the fusebox, whicvh then loops to B26 and finally A24, make sure all these wires are intact, A24 is where the power for the number plate lights and the dash lights comes from, so if either of these looped wires are dmagaed no power will get thru.

With mine, the dash only lights up [visibly] if it's pretty much pitch black out side.
In the mornings when I have my lights on and the sun's coming up I can't see the dash is illuminated, I thought it was just weak lighting!
Not good, especially when it's early and as the dash isn't lit up I forget about the lights!  :lipsrsealed: :embarassed:

thats the thing.. everything works fine except that one bulb on the right side of the dash... i mean i can drive without it but i would like to be able to see my rpms and gasoline guage at night if possible haha.. im in right there with you mitching. when its early you can barely see the dash lights at all. i often forget to turn my lights off as well. def NOT A GOOD THING HAHA
