I want rear LED lights and need help getting them
« on: 27 September 2010, 15:21 »
Help guys...... I live in the Highlands of Scotland and I want to know where I can go to get the rear LED lights fitted from start to finish and hassle free. I wouldn't mind a bit of a road trip if required. And of course, I don't want any Tom, Dick or Harry doing it and then doing it wrong

I had contacted my local VW garage who were happy to do it and the car was booked in for the job to be done with the parts on the way but then they called me and now don't want the job. Something to do with the job not being a valid VW retro fit or optional extra thus troubling the warrenty on the car and garentee of work carried out.

I know alot of you guys out there have had this work done so any help would be great, but be quick........ I'm sick of seeing a brand new White GTI in my area with them and me without
3 Door Carbon Gey, 18" Monza Shadows, RNS 510 with Dynaudio, Leather and Xenons. Waiting since August 18th....... Took delivery on the 9th of March. Yippee

Myself and SteveP supplied the majority of the Golf R LED lights and loom adapters currently fitted on the forum.

Either of us can fit them, and code (see note ****) them however you are miles away from me (SW England) and Steve (Northampton)

(****Need to also look into the Build date of your car, I am assuming from your sig it is this year?)

I am due to visit my brother, who lives near Halifax in the next few weeks, is that near enough?

If not we can supply them, need to call my source to check on the latest price.

You have a few options.

If you can find someone near you with VAGCOM, you could fit the units yourself then get the car coded.

I fitted them and they were easy to put in. I just had to get Mike off the site to do the computer tweaks.

SteveP or Stokeballoon could supply them including adapters or you could order the units from VW (I got mine at a good price through the dealer which is the only reason I didn't go through SteveP) then get the adapters from Ebay.
I love my GTD
