Sorry if this post is in the wrong place but...... I bought my golf around 2 weeks ago from a garage, the tax runs out at the end of this month and I havnt had a reminder that must of gone to the old keeper and I'v still not had my V5 document. How do I tax it without no reminder or V5???? :s

You need the green slip from the V5 which you should have retained when buying the car and a copy of your insurance along with the current MOT

That should do the job  :smiley:

I taxed my new car using the same method above last week  :smiley:

On a side note though I would have gotten the garage to stump up for 12 months tax  :wink:

FYI as I was in a rush I used the garage's insurance, the MOT and they had filled out the green slip in their name and I had no problems getting the tax disc  :smiley:

As long as your documents all match up it should be easy (fingers crossed lol)
