Wheels for a Cabrio - again, sorry! Pictures?
« on: 24 September 2010, 10:10 »
Hi all,

I really need to change the standard wheels on my 1995 Cabrio.

I personally like the standard vag offerings and I like the 16" rims we have on the 2005 Touran. Looking on FleaBay and I can get some reasonable ones.

My wife however prefers 3rd party offerings.

Either way, if I was to get standard wheels second-hand, i'd need converters like the ones from FK. Are these any good?

Basically, I haven’t purchased any wheels since the mid nineties when I brought some wolfrace wheels for my Mk2 gti, so I’m a bit out of touch. Does anyone have any recommendations and pictures?

Kind regards

I would stick to the 4stud fitting, if you start needing adaptors then it gets expensive.

Hmm, most of them are 5 stud's in that link.

Wonder if they are 5 stud conversions or adapters.

Adaptors, 4x100 which you have standard is one off the most common wheel fitments available.

Trust me, running adaptors or converting to 5 stud gets expensive.

There are so many nice 4 stud wheels
try most BBS offerings and most borbet wheels look good or even wellers or banded steelies

My cars blue, so the red will clash ;-(. I do like the design though.

I really want to fill the arches as the current 14' ones look so small, will these do that. Also, I guess I'm going to have to change the suspension otherwise it will look like a 4x4, lol

I was just searching on google for alloy wheel suppliers, not sure the company,
