cobra alarm bites my ass......VERY URGENT
« on: 24 January 2005, 20:11 »
Has anyone had or got experience of cobra alarms going bad? Used my car yesterday and no problems, got home, locked and alarmed car in usual manner with key fob. hunky dory. This morning tried to unlock car to get to work........nothing!!!  Had to use the key. Once inside no flashing led, tried touch key, still nothing. Put in keys and just a `click`. All lights, radio etc working fine. I think the model is 7095 or 7295? So i had to travel to work by a thing they call a bus.!!!!!!!!
Please help as i`m soooooo lost without the car.

I had a cobra alarm on my last car, i hated it! To open the door you had to stand for about 10mins pointing the fob at just about every place on the car for it to work and then when it did there was no audiable tone to let you know it had worked! I was so glad to see it go, the alarm not the car!

I love my Cobra alarm, better than the stupid clifford that UNLOCKED the car when it wanted!!!!!

Reading my Cobra doc's a while ago, the alarm fobs can go out of sync with the alarm.

To fix the cobra alarm fob you need to stand near the car (that a given) & hold the unlock/lock key down, this will re-sync the alarm & is displayed on by the flashing of the indicators.

Also I read someone on here knows how to enable the "blip blip" sound for the Cobra alarm.

Hope this helps Jay

my clifford has a mind of it's own sometimes. can be really annoying. works perfect for the other 360 days of the year
