you can build up no claims as long as you use that insurance company for your first year on your own policy, dunno if that was a specific rule for that company, or a general one tho

looks good blue, do you think he'll throw in the bikes too?!

fielder how do i go about finding him? what did he do?

keep your eyes peeled, he'd got a driver too as he's young (and foolish ) and you can see what he's done to his car. or if you go to the users galleries you can see all the marvelous things he's done!!!! or in the project section actually.....

That's the route i took, had my first fast(ish) car when I was 20 that way. The premium i paid on that is about the same i pay for the cover on the 2 cars i have now.. it all depends just how patient you are.

Not a chance already tried that one. I wouldnt build up insurance history if i do that would i?

I had a policy with CIS under my mums name and it was an any driver policy where anyone with a clean liscense under the policyholders permission could drive the car.  Its not worth shelling out sh1t loads on insurance for a car thats worth much.

My first policy under my own name is my mk3 GTI 8v now and admittedly it was ?900 the first year but I was only 21 when I took it out, and I had an accident previously that was my fault. Its gone down this year to about ?650 (?745 for the priveledge of paying monthly)! Thoroughly recommend elephant.co.uk.  They are handling my next claim very well! (not my fault this time though!)

try and get your first year on yer folks policy, that way you wont have to have a slower than necessary car (i know a 1.6 driver is slow, but not for your 1st car!!), then get your own tpft year after that. its do-able  (my smallest engine has been a 1.6 )

i have a 1.6 driver its ?580

this is because i took out a new polocy with my dad as main driver, this will not affect your dad whatsoever as even though my dad has over 9 years no claims i took out a new polocy as if he had 0 years no claims,

I have had one accident and that goes on my record not his, so it can be done
