R32 Alloys
« on: 14 September 2010, 10:14 »
Im currently looking for a set of R32 Alloys to replace as im still using my Montreal 2 Alloys..
Genuine or Reps whats the Difference??..
Are Genuines worth Paying the extra money for over the Replicas??..
Does anyone on here have any links what sites stock them (Gen or Reps)??..
If i get Reps will the R Line Centre Cap fit them??..

Cheers,,

Genuine wheels will be lighter and possibly stronger

IMO its worth paying the extra for Genuine wheels as they'll retain more of their value for when you sell them on

Look at the price of Anniversary wheels for example

Indeed wished i had bought better quality wheels not even had them 2 years and i need to refurb them due to corrosion in the lacquer ! To make matters worse the pretend split rim bolts are plastic so all have to be removed before powder coating.

Due to the refurb company not being able to source replacement plastic bolts i either have to leave them out or replace with alloy ones which are £2 each thus adding £160 ( 20 bolts per wheels) on top of the £250 for the refurb.

I am tempted just to leave them out as the powder coating will cover the holes ..
