Best you get over to Audi-Sport and look at all the posts moaning about how harsh the SLine suspension is and people saying that decent lowering shocks/springs or coilovers can improve the ride, as opposed to making it worse   :lipsrsealed:

Oh and the rims on the Red one is BBS CK's I believe, they arent too pricey

Already a member on there    And compared to the Golf, the S Line is a carpet ride!

Not too pricey as you saved £1k on the car

I'm good at spending other peoples money, shame I dont have more of my own to put on a better car for myself!

I'm not made of money!! 19's are too big anyway

Maybe on the wheel front

+1 CKs are THE SEX !

Also, reps FTW :D

Donations gladly accepted

Hmm, PM N8 (aka Nath) on Audi-sport and tell him 19's are too big  He's been trying to pursuade me to get 19's for a month or so now! But I do agree, and im going to go with 18's eventually. Hopefully getting some stop-gap 18's this week but nothing special.

And yea I preferred the standard boat like suspension of my SE over all the golfs I have driven. My coilovers arent anything special and they improved it a hell of a lot though and just firmed it up a bit really.

Well at the moment the current suspension is a vast improvement over anything that was fitted to my MK4 and so it should be being a newer car / chassis and with less than 25K on the clock

Ah yea good point. Mine is pretty much on 100k now  Changed the suspension around 6 months ago at around 88k and one of the shocks was leaking a bit

Audi's are definately the next level from a golf though :lipsrsealed: I'm working my way up, by 40 I should have the lambo  (I can dream)

Haha wish I could afford to! Only reason I got rid of my mk3 was because it cost me £400 a month in petrol!! Now I only spend around £200-£250 depending on the price.

Insurance is just over £1k on the audi, over £3k on newer GTI's etc..

However I can insure a brand new Ibiza Cupra (the 1.4T 180bhp DSG ones) for around £650... work that one out

That is a pricey fuel bill. You work on the moon or something :D

Yeah, I wont get started on my insurance or in fact any insurance for that matter as they are all cvnts.
