Cruise is deffo nice on long journeys, but you need a clear run or to be going slower than all the other cars to really have use of it!

My poor-mans spec had it from factory

Any idea how much the injectors would have been?

Prices seem to vary but its thought they are at least £600 a go    Plus fitting.......

Oh f*ck! Hope that isn't the problem with my car then.... lol

Try £1100 per injector fitted.....I have a receipt in the car for one fitted last January by the previous owner

i diagnosed a faulty injector on a passat earlier this week, retail price from vw 474+vat per injector. i got on to the local dealers and had them take it in to do the work as part of a recall FOC.

Well this morning's job was to retro fit the cruise control; big thanks goes to Jonny (JB0o) from Audi Sport for supplying the kit and help over the phone as I got stuck removing the steering ECU

New indicator and cruise unit fitted


Back together again




Total time was approx 90 minutes including a quick test drive    Knowing how to remove the steering ECU I could easily have fitted it in under an hour

Saved a fair chunk of money too

Got a slightly lumpy idle when cold.. Sounds/feels like a slight missfire Apparently it could be a slightly blocked injector, but even one at £400+ would cripple me!
