The general impression I get from the Golf R when I see one is that it really wanted to be an Audi... but didn't quite make it.
It's quite simple mate, it's better than an Audi. Not being funny....

Not being funny....Oh you don't need to explain it to me.I agree...But to the pretentious fools who believe owning an Audi will bring susburban happiness to their best dressed driveway competiyion...they just don't see it.I got offered a new S3 for about £1000 more than my GTI...and although the power, brakes and sometimes the traction would have been nice...the image would not.For that reason, I'm out. I'd rather pay more for the Golf, but then I'd want the car, not the badge...unlike many up my way nowadays.
Penguin, not everything has to be so black and white!
The only problem was what Ess_Three said (That's a very ironic name when he is being critical of the s3 ha ha) with it being an Audi.
I have to say though, I feel somewhat self conscious when I'm driving round. I sometimes think people look at me like I've put my foggies on to look cool, or worse that I've been to Halfords and put them on myself like a boy racer!!!!

I can only assume they think the DRLs are fog lights and they shouldn't be on.
