some will tell you the mk3 8v isn't a real gti but i liked mine too. not exactley a lightweight pocket rocket but not as slow as people make out either.......and better than a mk4.  :grin:

Hi im in the same boat as you just bought the 8v too, it is what it is so enjoy, pulls like a train with the strength to match, i guess if you wanted mk4 or mk3 16v you would have bought one?  Enjoy there still a cool strong engined car  :wink:
