Would it even be possible to fit a turbo to my AUTO 1.8GL [lol] ?
IF such a dumb thing is possible how much do you recon it would cost + the fitting ? [guessing].

for the engine management alone you'd be looking in the region of ?400-500, then there's the turbo, custom manifold, fueling the dam thing , upgrading the brakes.............and all this would need fitting and tuning by a major specialist......cha ching
I recon a conservative estimate to get it going reliably, you'd be looking at 2.5k and thats if it is possible!!!

Anything is possible with enough time and money, you would have to convert to injection first though.

Even if you got it all working I'm not conviced the auto box could cope with the power

If you want to spend your time & money on a big project, convert your car to manual it will make it much more desirable if/when you want to sell it

Probably 5 or 6 grand once you've sorted everything, clutch/gearbox/turbo/pistons/intercooler/brakes/piping/management/manifold etc. ..

Why not just stick nitrous on it ?

convert it to 16v k-jet 'management'. use that airbox with the turbo. get the turbo off a diesel in the scrapper. swap to 16v fuelling. probably a g60 throttle body aswell.

you'll need to fabricate a manifold for the turbo as you'll need it to link to the airbox. possibely look into a turbo diesel mk2 manifold.

the kjet is good for 200bhp. stick to low boost else you'll start melting things without lowing the c/r and uprating other bits along the way.
