Brit abroad........
« on: 29 August 2010, 13:24 »
Hi guys and girls, just joined this forum as i've put a deposit down on a new Golf GTI MK6, DSG, 4 door in white. Currently living in Dubai working in the oil industry. This will be my first VW when I receive it so hopeing it will live upto expectation as i've read a lot of good things about it. I was certainly impressed in the test drive.

previous cars i've owned worth mentioning:

2009 Jeep wrangler
2007 Mitsubishi Evo 9
2005 Peugeot 206 180 GTI
2002 Jeep Wrangler

I know its not going to be as quick or handle as well as an Evo, but im not expecting that either, I would be kidding myself if I though that, but thats not the reason im buying a GTI, I want something with a good turn of speed but is also refined and fun to drive. Hope to learn a lot from this forum and im sure it will deliver. cheers Leon
