I agree a remap might get you the power, but it won't help you get it down on the grey stuff. The 4WD really helps, and I beg to differ on the looks. My motor gets loads of attention. Although it may be from peope thinking, why has that bloke stuck 19's and LEDs on a golf diesel  :wink:

Dunno what you mean 19 x 8. They do stick out a tiny bit, but you get a small plastic mudflap on the arch of the R when you spec them, I think it's due to some EU law. I'm sure it was a thread on the R Forum a while back. I'll see if I can find the link for you.

Looks-wise it seems to be very subjective between the GTi and the R.  Personally I prefer the meaner, darker, squatter look of the R but there agaiin I'm biased  :laugh:
