Need to stick stuffs!
« on: 26 August 2010, 21:57 »
I am looking at some subtle mods to my new mkv gti, metal foot rest, metal seat leve inserts, euro badge on the front etc.

Question, i want to be able to revert to oem easily, any ideas what i could use to stick this stuff down so i can remove it easily in the future?

Any help appreciated...

Oh, i have also bought a black badge, any idea how i swap them?

........i got the ''screw fit'' foot rest but for the seat insert i used '' no more nails'' sticky pads. Been on over a year now & still fine but if needed to remove should just pull up.

I took the footrest out and screwed it in. If you buy the one from the fella on this forum, it looks so OEM that it should be there from standard anyway.

Believe it or not, i've stuck the seat lever inserts in with Blu-Tack and they've been there for 2 months now and no sign of moving!
