small water leak?
« on: 25 August 2010, 17:48 »
I've got a small interior leak. Can't get any images now as I dont have a camera on me. But it seems to be coming out of the roof lining perhaps? just above the rear interior lights. This happened today as I pulled off in my car, and it happened on both sides of the vehicle. Think it may be rain water as its been raining heavily today but it's never done it before? doesn't constantly leak, just seems to empty itself then stops. Any ideas where this leak has come from?

I've lost the little ring on my aerial (as shown in pic in red). Don't suppose water can get through there can it?

thanks.

It's probably more than just a coincidence

However a common fault is the water hose to the rear wash/wipe splits and leaks in the area you describe.

Drop the roof lining near the boot and take a peek

I know for a fact that my rear washer pipe has split! but i don't spray it, so i should be okay. and the leak didnt smell of washer fluid

so i just need to take off the interior lights and handles? as i also have something rolling around and its annoying when i turn sharply hahah.

thanks

Oh....

How can I put this without sounding sarcastic?

Ummmm....

Perhaps get these faults fixed and see if the problem goes away?

Replace aerial
Fix leaking rear wiper pipe in roof
