Bypass valve

Does anyone know where I can purchase a new heater bypass valve. VW in Bristol told me that they have been discontinued & are no longer available.

A scrapyard is usually the best bet, most mk2's at a scrapyard should be fitted with them. The last set I bought from a scrappy was ?5.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?

Although second hand ones might be broken too, try http://www.gsfcarparts.com I think they still have them in, but you'll probably need to phone the parts department.

i phoned vw dealers all around the midlands and none off them had them in, ended up at scrapyard and got two of the alloy ones for a fiver, they also have them on polo's and passat's.
