carpets
« on: 23 August 2010, 13:32 »
Anyone had trouble with carpets going boobly after hovering or brushing ? I think the quality of the carpet is very poor. I had an Audi for 8 years and 3 passats and never had this trouble before when cleaning on a regular basis. The Golf's six months old and it's already happening.

Any brushing has never been a good idea. Suck the dirt with air and minimise rubbing. Mine seem fine so far, but I have only cleaned the carpets twice in five months as I don't make much of a mess.

I can't say that I've had any trouble cleaning the carpets thats because I haven't cleaned them in 6 months  I have rubber mats on top.

You would think they would be good quality if you are paid £100 a set. ;)

It's not the mats that are going bobbly it's the carpet beneath. If you get bits of grit and grass etc... (when my kids are jumping in and out. i then end up hovering it up and the carpets not the mats are going bobbly. I have done this with my previous audi and passats for years without problems.

No bobbles or matting on mine, but I hardly ever vac, I am an extremely clean little beggar
