Hi,I have a Mk 3 2.0l Auto estate with a gearbox problem.When I am crusing on the motorway at about 50/55mph the gearbox jumps down a gear or sometimes two if I am going faster,this does not always happen and I can go a few hundred miles sometimes without a problem then bang,I am going faster say 70/75 and it all starts again although the faster I am going the more gears it jumps.Then it does not go back into fourth gear until I have stopped the car and turned off the ignition,then its ok for a while.Sometimes it does only start off in second gear,so I stop the engine and start off again.The gearbox ecu under the rear seat does get a bit hot,could this have anything to do with it? I also get IN 02 code come up on the dashboard every time I turn the ignition on. Any help would be great. Many thanks Paul.
