BUY NEW MK 6 GTI ADVICE?

Hi everyone I'm new to the site. I have a mk5 gti and am looking to purchase/order mk6 very soon.
I have an quotation from some brokers saving nearlly £3k. Also been told 3-6 months waiting? Any advice please?

Get the delivery date in writing. You could be waiting much longer than they tell you due to there allocation.

Snoopy, not sure even getting the delivery date in writing would be of any benefit unless you also got the garage to say if the car wasn't delivered by X date then they will give you a loan car!

There are some already on forcourts in London for sale right now!! I have seen white DSG, carbon grey sititng there !!

I would also say try PMing or contacting user: Evo1986 on here as he works for a VW dealer and can go throught the system to see whats arriving soon or in stock in the country and maybe point you to one thats already here to the spec you want.

If they put a date down to supply by rather than just an estimated eta then you can cancel and get any deposit back and not fall into 'its a manufacturing delay not ours'. As its them who broke the contract not you. They should have a build week date and commision number within 4 weeks if they have allocation.

If you are trading the MK5 in px for the MK6 the dealer will take your trade-in and give you a loan car 21 weeks after ordering I believe.
