Hoping to pick up my car next week which is DSG, having not driven one before I have a few questions:

1. Can I leave it in D while I am waiting at the lights or a junction.
2. Can I switch between D & S while the car is moving.
3. What are they like on a hill start.

I know these may seem basic questions, but DSG is going to be new to me.

I have recently just bought my first ever auto car and it is DSG.

You will not regret it they are a joy to drive and soo easy and lazy! I really like it!

1.Yes you can leave it in D while at tlights, just keep your foot on the brake
2.Yes you can swith between D and S while moving
3.Takes a bit of getting used to hill starts but they are easy after a bit of practice!
2008 R32 DBP gone. 2008 GT TDI going 2009 GTI coming soon!

Get a manual, get an auto when you are too old to be able to change gear.
