Picture request of rear bumper number plate area for dark coloured GTis please.

I would be very grateful if a couple of you would be kind enough to post some pictures of your rear bumper number plate area for comparison with mine so that I may send these to VW to show them that the deformations I have are not standard. Red coloured cars preferable, though any other darkish colour would also be of great help.

I am having a really difficult time trying to convince VW that my bumper deformations are not standard.

Below are pictures of my car showing the problem.

Heres one - as you can see, the area is completely flat. I'll take one closer tomorrow for you as well

Just a thought, but on your travels can you not drop in a few VW dealerships and just take some snaps of some of the mk6's on their forecourt? Plus if you get chatting to a sales rep, maybe you could co-herce them in to putting it in writing that the numberplate surround is meant to be flat.

I'm considering getting a motor from VW and all these stories I keep reading on here about their issues (especially yours) is not putting much confidence in me when this is going to be my first real big purchase of a new car.

A nice big picture of my numberplate surround just for you. Just don't tell my wife I spend my mornings posting pix of my numberplate on the Internet, or her suspicions about me being completely loopy will be confirmed :grin:

It seems VW tecnical have closed the case as this deformation is standard. Now customer services have taken it up!
