eBay GTI - Warning!

Hi all,

Just a warning about this GTI on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2009-59-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-Mk-6-3-door-Red-/250684032016?pt=Automobiles_UK

I bought this GTI from a VW dealer down south, they however forgot to mention that the previous owners was in fact Superchips, it was their press demo car. I only found out it history when I got the log book through a month later!

I went slightly scatty with the dealer who initially tried to dodge the issue but eventually came through and refunded my money. Interestingly they were going down the route along with vw customer services of the warranty still being intact as it passed their multipoint check! One rule for them it seemed to be....

Anyway it's possibly a decent buy at the right price but it's not at that price IMHO.

It is also not anywhere near immaculate, it has had a full black vinyl wrap and whoever took it off did a right bodge job. Down the seams of the bumper it's all scratched where they peeled it away, there's a dint and a crap repair on the drivers door. There's marks around the trims where they levered them off to get the vinyl wrap under the reflectors etc.

The wheels are spotless as it's had a different set on!

Well spotted Beardo, I suppose if you got that car for £22500 and had to spend say £500 to £1000 to get the bodywork spot on it would still be a decent buy if the engine isn't FCUK'd [But it's still got 2 years warranty so not a problem one assumes]
