Quick question, anybody know if there was a difference in standard ride height between the 8v and 16v GTIs?

not really. all mk3's ran tractor height as standard

Weight on the front end is slightly more on the 16v so it will sit slightly lower.

exactly the same from factory.....the 16v engine isn't that much heavier then the 8 (and I guess vw would of uprated the spring poundage due to heavier engine?)
