Now this is interesting.
My cousin who wears jeans all the time and got his GTi at the same time is having this problem.
I don't wear jeans as I have always found them too heavy and uncomfortable.
My seat bolsters are so far OK but my rear bloody bumper is not. Wish it was the other way round.

I think thay are also tough on leather.

Thats weird, I got absolutely slated to bits when I mentioned this in my test drive GTI.

I did nearly go for the leather Kev but the mk5 is not waring well so it put me off.
I had no problems with the mk5 we had with cloth but many others did from been a member of mk5 forums.
I still think half leather should be standard on the mk6 like they did with the edition30 imo as its the best of both worlds.

No signs of wear on my cloth yet, but I've only done 8000 miles in a year. Every time I get in and out, though, I can feel and hear the bolsters taking a hammering. It's only a matter of time, IMO...
