I had a few issues with a September 09 GTI and returned it to the dealer - that had a Wallet and GTI logo etc.

This one hasn't  Anyway chuffed with the new motor, its not the end of the world!

Mine is leather (but not very nice leather) with the GTI logo in metal in the bottom right corner.

Yes car was serviced last week, sailed through with no problems and cost me nothing due to the service plan.
Have you had yours done yet?  mind you my car has only done 5600 miles.

Hi all - As the title really. Just picked up a March 2010 GTI and the handbook holder is a manky old Golf plastic leather one rather than GTI branded leather funky (funkier at least) one.

Is that right or has one of the service guys robbed it?

I asked the sales guy and he checked and said they are all like that now?

Mine's March 2010 and I've got the leather wallet with GTI logo.

March 2010 was the change over point.
Mines early March build, mid March arrival at delaer, late March delivery and the dealer said it was the first they had, had with this manual type.

The older one was a ring binder type.

The new ones are like a paperback book.

The main GTI/GTD manual content is also slightly different to the older ring binder one.

The new pouch that holds the paperback books is a pouch rather than a folder and is leather look(maybe its leather) VW branded one.
