Central Locking Problems
« on: 12 August 2010, 22:52 »
So... My Vento came with central locking and it still has the motor, wiring, piping, actuators, etc all plumbed in.

However the problem is that when I try to unlock the car, the it takes a few turns of the key... as if the actuator is pushing against the key. Also... the other doors dont unlock.

Now its not the actuators as they all seem to be working. The piping is all fine too. So this leaves me with the conclusion that the pump has had it or the wiring is gone.

Can anyone advise me on this problem? I have a mk2 pump here that I think I will try tomorrow and see if that helps it... thats if it fits or not lol.

Sounds like a pump problem, check all the wiring 1st.
