Mk1 GTI Owners Manual
« on: 13 January 2005, 13:53 »
I've got a 1983 Mk1 GTI but it hardly came with any history or documentation at all.

Has anybody got a spare owners manual knocking around or know anywhere that I may be able to get one? Or could they scan it in and email it to me?

Right I have found 2 manuals, one is August 1980 edition and the other is 1982. Going to take bit of scanning though. Was there anything in particular that you were after? If i get round to it, I could try scanning both in and publishing them on my website for future reference, but god knows when I'll get time to do that........... :undecided:

I suppose the 82 one would be best. Is it for an 1800?
I'm after the whole thing really.

The manulas they publish tend to cover a number of models, but having said that these two only cover up to 1600. I know I do have an 1800 one somewhere as it came with the cabrio, so I will have to do some more digging, its probably in the motor lol

I need one two for my MK1 Campaign - to cover 1800 with MFA. Scan would be handy if anyone has one? My rose tinted specs I had on when buying thecar didn't allow me to realise the manual present was for a MK2! :embarassed:

The campaign manual is full of useful information such as the wheels are an important part of the car!!
