I'll pay for one! My belt squeal in the rain is driving me nuts.

I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!

And I would dearly love to sell you one NOW, in fact I'd love to sell lots of them YESTERDAY, but I'm not selling anything to anybody until I'm fully satisfied it won't break. To this end I've ordered some new thicker aluminium of a stronger grade, which I have today received notification is on its way, so that I can fabricate a new mounting bracket. Hopefully the different metal, plus a slightly different design, will cure the fatigue problem and the guards can hit the market.

My belt kept slipping in the wet and shield was hanging on by one clip.. Changed belt, tentioned it correctly and secured shield properly and it hasn't slipped since.

Right, been a while since the last update but Project Splash Guard still lives! New stronger bracket has started testing - have completely redesigned it to knock out all the potential stress concentrations and thus avoid the metal fatigue that did for the original. Sorry it has all been taking so long; combination of a recent change of job and the arctic weather conditions have kind of put my extracurricula activities on hold for a bit. Still, back under way a bit now. Will keep you all posted on the progress of the new bracket.
