Paint for Headlight Smoking

Seen a few guides here and there now, Just can't seem to find an "Exact" paint to use to smoke my headlights?
Assuming it has to be heat resistant, my first thought was Hammerite but isn't that a bit too much?

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of an exact can of spray paint to use?
Black preferrably!

is it legal to smoke or tint front lights?

Depends what route you want to go down mate, Can split the lights and paint the non-refelctive parts or just slap some tinting film over the top of em!
Got a couple of sets of light so i'm gonna have a bash at a few different setups!

No mate, not spraying the lens cover, spraying the parts around the bulbs (that aren't needed for reflecting light)

i bought some headlight protectors for my old rover 200 and smoked them with lens tint spray from the INSIDE of the protector, this protected the tint paint and also left the lights looking shiney and not matt.

i split my headlamps and painted around the using black stove paint, i tried masking it off with low tac tape but found it peed the silver off, so did it by hand instead if i get chance i will put a pic up.

Iv done mine with some High temp resistant Black spray paint, no need to primer!

Thats the stuff i'm looking for mate! Any recommendations?
Was thinking to spray grey, but might aswell kepp it black and simple since the car is black

id personally do them black, just any high temp paint, i used 1 tin for two lots of headlights, be carefull when masking tho as the reflective paint will peel off!
