Ok ok ok, i admit it i want the dump valve noise, i have read the thread on dump valve and apart from rhyso's short post it says nothing about the diesel engine, im not interested in performance i'd just like a genuine dump valve noise is this at all possible???

Decat = more midrange torque and as you lift of the throttle you get an owl sound

Ditch excess weight such as the spare tyre and rear seats, go on a diet etc etc

Take off the EGR and inlet manifold and clean them up

 i'm guessing that a tdi wont fail mot if it aint got a cat? emmisions aint tested are they? sorry but know about petrol cat rules
