mk3 lowering question
« on: 09 August 2010, 10:19 »
i've noticed in alot of pics that when the mk3 is lowered...it's kinda slant, the front is lower than the back and just wondering why this is the case? just like in this thread http://www.wheel-whores.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=17841

Could be to do with the big heavy engine being in the front Buddy....one way round this is to fit coilovers to adjust or 40/60mm lowering kit.

I might be wrong but I believe nose down can help handling.

nose down is definitely better for looks and will help handling as it basically shifts weight distribution onto the front wheels

Some people lower the front a small bit more intentionally, either for look or handling.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Yeah, it's just the way people adjust coilovers. And also it's easier to go lower on the front.

You will never see a race car with the back lower than the front. Be it v8's or wtcc it's for handling and if the back is lower it's because the idiot driving think it looks good.
