Satnav, full postcode problem

Got the RNS510 Sat nav in my car but its so frustrating that you can't put the full postcode in. I use it a fair bit for work and its let me down a few times recently with regard to this. Anyone know if there is a fix/upgrade etc for this ?

There is a vw program you have to search on this forum which allows you to put an adress (postal code) in and download a picture you add this on the SD card and that reads the sat-nav.
Works very cool.

There is a rumour going round the Net that a new 2800 firmware is going to be released with the full postcode search.

Not sure about the truth of it though, I assumed it would also need a map update.

Yep that's the rumour that seams to have some truth in it as the 1300 firmware is out already for the older units, and it would need new mapping data IMHO

So at some stage could the RNS510* be upgraded to incorporate this?
