Hello people

Hi,

I'm totally new to the VW scene, and I've been looking through the forum and there's loads of info, which is fab! Prior to this car I was a Honda fan and suppose I still am. I've just bought a mk3 golf 1.8 and must say I'm pretty impressed; it feels really solid and 'chunky'. A few questions really based on initial impressions of the car:-

1) It rolls waaay too much for my liking, are there any reasonably priced anti-roll bar kits, the ones i've come across on the web so far are £200+, which is a bit much imo. I don't want to lower it as i want to preseve the ride quality. Also it is a very low mileage example for the year, i'd like to keep it looking as standard as possible.

2) The standard sound system is poor. From what i gather the door speakers are 6.5", am i best of getting 2 sets, one for the front and one for the rear. Or shall i get quality fronts and install a sub in the back?

3) In terms of engine oil, would a fully synthetic 5w-40 be ok, as thats what I've been using in previous vehicles.

Overall i like the comfort and the fact that vw actually use sound proofing in their vehicles.
