Mk6 GTI better than Bugatti Veyron

Spent last weekend in the Chelsea/Belgravia area of London with the wife.

Christ, there is some serious money there. Walking down one quiet street round the back of Harrods there was a Porsche 911, Maserati Gran Turismo, Ferrari 599 and an Aston Martin DB9 all parked next to each other!

Anyhow, as we were pootling along on foot, what should drive past but a f***ing Bugatti Veyron!! I had never seen one in person, even at motor shows, because there are always too many people crowded around the stand.

I just stopped and gawped as it disappeared.

The most amazing thing, however, was that nobody except me even noticed it.

How weathly does an area have to be for no one to notice when a £1m car drives past?!

I get more headturns in our local town with my humble GTI than that guy did in his Veyron

Froggy: I see these everyday in Knightsbridge and on Harley Street. Yes, there is an obscene amount of wealth around. There are a couple exotica on my street too. After sometime, you stop noticing and re-live in your GTi World knowing full well that on a long distance journey one will get to one's destination sooner as there would be no need to keep popping into petrol stations. How inconvenient these cars are?

There was an article in the Daily Express last week re the Saudi Royals, they come over here with their huge cars to escape their heat, stay here and pop in and out of Knightsbridge and then go back home on their huge private jets in time for Ramadan.

It made interesting reading, OMG they are seriously wealthy people.

...and some of the women dress like whores under their black tents. And those who don't waddle at minus 100 mph down our footpaths causing mayhem. All-in-all a sight to dream of, not to tell!

I have the trouble of when ever I park up outside work you always get some rubbish cars parking next to me 



And five seconds after I took this pic (which was about ten cars down) from mine along drove another Veyron but with a full chrome wrap



But all that money doesn't buy you the right to park anyway, just ask my new boss's, just spent 1.5 billon on buying the place and can't even get a parking space

Harley Street is full of RR Phantoms .... I suppose sick Arabs need the extra comfort!
