Anyone worked on Candy White before?
« on: 06 August 2010, 14:07 »
Has any pro valeters on here worked on a candy white car before?

Obviously i own a mk4 golf in Candy white and i am no dab hand when it comes to looking after my car and use good quality products.

However with the car being candy white, its more a creamy colour and not as reflective/shiney as most new whites found on audi's & BMW's. So my question is can i improve the shine by cleaning a different way of using different products?

Currently use Gold Class Shampoo, Megs Claybar and App spray, Megs drying towel, Step2 Megs polish, Gold Class liquid Wax nd sometimes Tech Wax. Polish and wax applied with Sponge apps and removed with ultra soft megs cloths

not really mate the only thing is gat your polishing stage spot on really and use a glaze after polishing to bump the gloss up a bit, britemax blackmax glaze is good, chemical guys ez creme glaze is also good, dodojuice limeprime lite is a cracker aswell.
collinite 476s or 915 is good on light coloured cars
megs#16 mirrorglaze is great on all cars.
fk1000p is a hybrid wax which acts like sealant aswell and looks great on silvers and whites.
dodojuice supernatural looks awesome on anything.

think i will eventually get some Born to be Mild, Limeprime and some Dodo wax.

ideally though i think i may need to get a good machine polisher and some good polish/compound to get the finish back to have it should be. maybe years of abuse by the previous owners has taken its toll.

I get good results with Dodo Lime prime or Lime prime lite followed by Supernatural or Light Fantastic wax.
I have heard of a good level being achieved with the Jeff's products.
