now im very fussy when it comes to putting the right oil in my 8 valve shes been very well looked after in that department all her life. saw some havoline semi synth 10/40s in morrissons at 15 pound for 5 ltrs so researched it on the net and all reports were good even meets vw spec 505. of i totterd to my local store and imagine my suprise when the guy behind the counter says 8 pounds please  there doing it at half price  put it in and i kid you not it sounds quieter checked it against the fuchs xtr container and the spec of the oil is the same........spent another 8 pounds ready for 6 months time

Nought wrong with Havoline used it many times even gearbox oil from them is good!

i will be popping down if they are doing the half price oil again
last time they did it i was doing an atf flush on my passat and ended up with 3 bottles one for oil after flush one for oil change a week later and another one for a change for when the oil starts to darken off
and i picked a 500ml bottle of atf up while i was there and im sure it was 99p just in case i wanted to run another flush through the engine
