Imo Dynaudio like any better system shows up flaws in the recordings quality and how it was originally recorded more, therefore 99% of people think it sounds worse than a less revealing system.

... I said that, did'nt I?

I can't believe you are disappointed with dynaudio, I find it first class for sound and depth of clarity  is awesome.

Probably because he was coming from a Phaeton which is in a different league audio wise.

You speak the truth. After 16 speakers of pure unadulterated audio excellence in a car just a little smaller than The Albert Hall, the return to a 4 door family hatchback and the commensurately smaller and less sonicaly beautiful sound stage has been a bit of a wrench. But, then again, having filled the 20Gb hard drive with enough AC/DC and Joe Satriani to blow any traffic light queue away I am quite happy with my lot. No stereo playing and a thumping engine exhaust note is a lot more satisfying than the hushed world of a Phaeton. I often thought the engine wasn't running in the Phaeton and only knew from the rev counter reading!
