dash lights are still out and i just received the bulbs to replace them. ive read the how to in the maintance and info section and im still a little confused on how the whole procedure works. so do i take the actual spedometer box out or just reach behind it and replace the bulbs. ive also read something about sliding the glass off or am i mixing information reguarding something else?
would anyone happen to know where i could get a how to guide including pictures...? i find i work a lot better if i can see what im doing and not just read it..

you could try to reach around the back, you might be able to manage. otherwise take it out!  dont need to touch the glass.

After messing with mine for a LONG time, take it out. It's not a massive job, but don't get pi$$ed off with it, have a break as it really does get annoying.

The clocks will be difficult to move cos of the speedo cable, so reach around from the passenger side, behind the support bracket, and unclip that.

Remove the headunit, heater panel and switches (disconnect the handbrake light). Then unscrew the dash trim leaving the clocks - which are held with screws as well. Once unscrewed, reach behind and squeeze the speedo cable then pull out. The binnacle should now tilt forward.  The bulbs are twist in type (3 in total 1 above each clock and 1 in the centre for the MFA display).  Test and refit.

I would also take off the drivers undertray it's only 5 screws but it make life so much easier to get at the Speedo cable and Vac pipe on the MAF...

If you are using LED's make sure you test them first before putting it all back together as they will only work one way round!!

I left the vac pipe in place as it's a right bugger to remove and not worth damaging.
