air con do i have it? , can anyone help?

Hi everyone,

I need help...

Recently got a 16v abf. It needs work and as usual im finding more and more things that need doing.

Im a bit confused about this...

1. There is a sticker under the bonnet that says air conditioned vehicle.

2. There are two buttons under the blower controls, one says norm and the other says max, no-one seems to know what they are.

Im starting to think my car had or has got (non-working) air con.

Any thoughts or a pic of an engine bay with air con ?

or does anyone know the option code cos i think i could check it out with the sticker in the boot

If you have AC you would have a button labeled AC and 'Air Conditioning' just below the fan control.

Look at the pic below -

If you have air con you should also have these pipes I have highlighted in your engine bay.

There are also two or four air conditioning switchs on the drivers side door handle
