Unkown VAG-COM code!

16708 - Knock Regulation -- Malfunction
            P0324 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

had this fault code come up after my management light came on, cant seem to find any info on it
anybody seen it before?

also where exactly would it be knocking?

Most likely Knock Sensor.  Check the wiring to them as mine had corroded at the plug.  Some engines have 1 some have 2 i think.

If you look just in behind your dipstick. You should see a grey connecting plug and a black connecting plug. Should have 3 little wires coming out (mine 2 had corroded off)  The grey one goes to the crankshaft sensor which is hidden down behind the oil filter and the black plug (2 if you got 1.8 or 2.0?)  goes down to the knock sensor.
 Just check the wiring make sure there all ok if they are then you'll probably need to change the knock sensor.  Quite difficult to get too easily and should be tightened to the correct torque....20 nm according to haynes.
