Is this a fair price for a 2002 GtiTdi 130
« on: 19 July 2010, 20:31 »
Hi All, New to the forum , but im currently in the process of buying a 2002 GtiTdi 130bhp engine number ASZ 5 door hatch as 117k on the clock with part service history had a full service Start of the year also had cam-belt replaced at 99k... Its in black with full leather interior heated fromt seats black dash trim Dual climate control a fair few toys by all accounts 17" alloys although could do with a refurb Full 12 months m.o.t. and tax till end sept... Only thing i would need to buy is a front splitter as there isnt one on the car ... and i can haggle the price down to £3750 is this a fair price
All advice apreciated

I'd say that is a tad high for the mileage but not that high.
But to compensate for the miles you get leather so it pans out.

You said it's got dual climate control? You sure? as i'm pretty sure that was in the Audi's not the Golfs.

Also i'd personally ask if the clutch has ever been changed cuz depending on how it was driven you may need one in the next couple of thousand miles although some on here are on like 150k+ and still on same clutch.

Front Exhaust has part of the system slightly deteriorated
N/s/f inner c v boot split
Slight play in o/s/f steering

Found the cv boot kit on euro carparts £7 also Seen the track rod end and inner tie road £38 for the 2 i have been told thats what the play in the steering will be

Not too sure what the deterioration is as when i took it for a drive there was no noise
