Few problems need advice

I have a MK4 20v GTI Turbo (X reg) and need some advice the car is making a clunking noise it has been to  the garage and had new bush and few other bits but the car is still making the noise the garage have said they are not too sure what it can be as they have had a good look at it but are willing to have another look next week, it only makes the noise occasionally when going over speed bumps, pots holes etc but always makes it when slowing down and braking but rarely when setting off so i thought my best idea would to ask if anyone has had the same problem any advice is much appreciated

there is also one other problem my 'service now' light always comes on when starting the car will this always happen until the car goes in for a service

and another is the brake sometimes feels stiff

is the clunk at the front or the rear?

you can reset the service light with a sequence of button presses, check out the mk4 maintenance and info section there is a guide somewhere
