standard tyres - monza shadows?

Bridgestone's on my car and it is still whisper quiet at excess speed 

Can't be whisper quiet unless you have a hearing loss.
The Bridgestones are noisy I feel but I have got used to them.

Despite what people may say about the Dunlops imo they are a sub standard tyre. I have had them 3x now and every time i have noticed uneven wearing and wall flex on fast long cornering.

Alot was made about this over on the mk5 board a while ago and I wasnt too sure about the dunlops being as bad as others though. I changed my mind one I tried another brand.

The only positive is their ability in the wet (as you cant push them hard enough to cause flex) and the harder compound that makes them last longer.

It's all subjective though. What is noisy to yourself will be quiet to others.
As for whisper quiet, fair enough but compared to other tyres I have had on other cars, they are whisper quiet to me
