So shall I begin with the car when I first bought it? Yeah, why not.

I originally saw this car last year when I went along with Adam to see billy_vw, he was selling it for one reason or another but at the time I looked at it I secretly had a desire to own something just like it. In grey which is a fantastic colour, not to mention it is a 16v. Sadly though I couldn't afford to buy it due to me being Shady and in typical Shady fashion, I never have any money.

Billy then sold it to someone called Richard who is around on this forum as 10 months after his ownership he had it up for sale to help fund his new Beemer he was getting. Here are some pictures from the ad he put up:

As can be seen by the photos there are some....to be desired accessories which I wasn't too fond of, but they were easily changeable if needed, so I took the jump and got a train to Birmingham (from Yeovil) to have a look at it. Upon seeing it I handed over the cash and I am now the proud owner of the old girl.

The to-do list immediately was to:

- Change the TSW wheels to the Audi wheels from the ad.
- Change rear wiper to Beemer rear wiper.
- Change rear lights to old modded GTi lights from the GL.
- Change the steering wheel to Polo wheel from the GL.

These were immediate changes that needed to be done so I didn't feel so silly.

When I got her home the only thing I'd done was the rear lights:

The rear lights made a big difference. My main problem were the wheels already on it so needed to get them changed as soon as possible. With a bit of help from Adam that became reality:

When I had my GL I had a set of Hella Twin headlights which suited the Dragon Green GL extremely well, now initially I wanted to joey mod the GTi headlights to be darker, or blacked out a bit however I haven't had the time to do such a thing due to moving so I decided to chuck the old Hella Twins on, along with a VR splitter to improve the front end a tad.

Some may have noticed that there are a couple of patches of paint noticeably different to the rest of the car. This is down to rust originally being there but treated, primed and then painted over, however the paint clearly isn't a match. I will at some point be getting these areas sorted out professionally.

I have other plans for this car such as polished wheels, upgrade the interior, but for now due to personal circumstances much of that will be put on hold for now. Even now though she looks pretty damn sexy, and I love her.
